a ship that sparkles, glimmers, and glows with excitement.
After a day of sightseeing, chill out in 3 pools and 6 whirlpools
or try a soothing treatment in the Nautica Spa. When evening
rolls around, the Starlight Lounge comes alive with entertainment.
Try your luck in the Crystal Palace Casino, or enjoy Vegas-style
shows in the Blue Sapphire Lounge. For late-night fun, head to
the flashy Stripes or Chinatown nightclubs. Then, take an early
morning nap by the pool and get ready to do it all again.

Carnival Conquest

You don't have to know a Monet from a Manet to appreciate
the new Carnival Conquest, inspired by the great Impressionist
painters of the 19th century. Experience the excitement of the
Moulin Rouge at the Toulouse-Lautrec Lounge. Cross the
Sunflower Atrium to Vincent's for cool breezy jazz, or to the
gleaming 15,000-square-foot health and fitness facility.
Parents and children will love Camp Carnival, while everyone
will be impressed by Carnival's culinary masterpieces. From an
intimate supper club to a multinational indoor/outdoor buffet,
you'll find everything from lobster to gourmet pizza. Hundreds
of private balcony staterooms and 22 bars and lounges all add
up to one incredible ship.

First Glimpse

Mark Your Calendars:

Celebrity revealed the most significant details to date
about its new prototype Celebrity Solstice. The 122,000-ton,
2,850-passenger ship, intended to be the first in a class of four,
is Celebrity's largest ever -- by a long shot. It officially debuts
on December 14, 2008, with a series of seven-night Eastern
Caribbean cruises out of its winter homeport in Ft. Lauderdale.

Most of the specifics Celebrity unveiled relate to
accommodations, which makes sense as it has been
publicizing the fact that members of the Captain's Club
(its past-passenger program) can start booking immediately.
And so the cabin info was key -- it's rather difficult to book a
stateroom category sight unseen. But whether you're a
Celebrity veteran or a first-timer (sales are now open to all),
the ship's design is intriguing at least as far as we can tell from
the cruise line's Web site.

Princess Cruises: Princess Kids

Princess Kids

Princess Kids offers a wide range of fun activities for
children between the ages of three and 17. While youth
facilities vary by vessel, games and activities are available
on all Princess ships, and children are always supervised by
a dedicated staff of youth activity professionals. Three distinct,
age-specific programs have been created: Princess Pelicans for
ages three to 7, Princess Pirateers for ages eight to 12, and Off Limits
for ages 13 to 17.

Princess Pelicans and Pirateers are entertained with nonstop
activities including arts and crafts, pool games, scavenger hunts,
deck parties, backstage and galley tours, afternoon ice cream,
videos, and cartoons. Off Limits keeps teens on the go with events
such as dancing in their own private disco, casino night, shipboard
Olympics, karaoke and lip-sync shows, pizza parties, and movie fests.

"Pete's Pals" is a program that allows children to learn
more about endangered species living in areas in which
Princess sails. Each year, the line will issue a specially
designed plush animal depicting a species in danger.
In conjunction, kids will learn about the plight of many
such creatures, including humpback whales, white pelicans,
manatees, sea turtles, and pandas.

Princess Cruises: Personal Choice Cruising

In-Depth Princess Cruises Information

Personal Choice Cruising

Princess ships offer the line's innovative Personal Choice
Cruising program, an individualized, unstructured style
of cruising that provides a "what you want, when you want"
atmosphere of onboard choice and flexibility designed to
give passengers the opportunity to customize their cruise
experience to fit their personal interests, needs, and desires.
Princess introduced the concept of putting passengers in
control of their own cruise experience in the mid-1990s
when it introduced the revolutionary Sun-class ships.
These revolutionary vessels gave passengers the freedom
to choose from a wide range of flexible onboard facilities
and services in order to create a vacation experience to
suit their own preferences.

Princess' Personal Choice Dining program offers two
main dining options. Passengers can choose between
traditional fixed seating, where they will have an assigned
dinner time, table, companions, and wait staff, or
restaurant-style Anytime Dining, which allows them to
dine when, where, and with whom they wish.

The Personal Choice Entertainment program encompasses a
wide variety of options. Passengers can choose from multiple
show lounges featuring Princess' award-winning original
Broadway and Las Vegas-style productions, an extensive
daily lineup of shipboard activities, and an ever-changing
array of special features specific to each ship and its itinerary.

Metropolis Bar
Entertainment

Carnival entertainment is varied, ranging from classical music
to X-rated
comedy, and includes some of the most outstanding
stage productions
-- real Las Vegas-style revues -- on the seven
seas. Xtreme Country
is the name of a western-themed show,
performed the last night at sea,
and practically tailor-made for the Galveston-based vessel and its passengers. Once a replica of a
pickup truck appears on stage, the standing room audience

is completely captured. No one can sit through the show without
tapping a foot,
and a few dance in the aisles. Loud, colorful and
dynamite, Xtreme Country
is marvelous. Stripes Dance Club is a
wild and crazy place. Chinatown also
features music. Rolls Royce
-- and yes, there is a real Rolls on display
-- is a patisserie and
coffee house, and the Crystal Palace Casino is often

the hottest spot on the ship.

The Blue Sapphire Lounge, a two-tiered showroom,
features a lot of glitter, a lot of blue, some wonderfully
comfortable seats,
but also those darned poles that ruin
sight-lines on the Fantasy-Class ships.
It is a shame, because
many of the shows produced in this room are about

the best in the business. It is an elegant show room -- in a 90's
sort of way.
Crystal Palace Casino is a full-service casino with slots
and table games
and weekly slot and blackjack tournaments.
Table games include blackjack
and Caribbean Stud Poker,
three card poker, roulette and craps. Slots are

state-of-the-art. Neon offers sing-alongs and karaoke.
